MAKE US LAUGH

OVERVIEW

The National Gay Pilots Association “Winter Warm-Up” is the NGPA’s flagship West Coast event, held in Palm Springs and by far their largest yearly gathering. Presented by United Airlines, the 2023 private gala portion of the weekend welcomed 700 NGPA members and aviation industry professionals

BACKGROUND

Our partner JRP Live and NGPA was in search of a fresh and fun entertainment option – ideally a high energy musician or comedian that would mix well with the turkey production support of the evening. “In the past, entertainment at the end of the night has not worked well as people have already sat through too much presentation. Unlike most galas, our members generally know each other and would rather get back to socializing.”

SOLUTION

Sourced and provided the NGPA with a variety of 12 different entertainment options (both musicians and comedians) all of which were within the client’s talent budget, available for the event date and aligned with the NGPA’s LGBTQ advocacy.

RESULTS

Upon client selection, booked and successfully delivered the hilariously relatable and powerhouse comedian Jessica Kirson to headline the NGPA’s gala. Jessica performed a 30 minute set at the start of the evening instead which resulted in a seamless run of show. The client was thrilled and welcomed the opportunity to work with Jessica/82 South on future engagements.
